Seven Random Things

Gus tagged me, so here they are:

1. I can sew. Most people wouldn't guess it since I don't cook or clean, I don't have or want kids, and I'm not really into fashion. But yes, I can do it, and I kind of miss it.

2. The first time I ever ate Taco Bell was April 2003. I had no desire to eat there before then, I didn't really want to go when I went, and I don't care to go back. Upping the ridiculous-factor is the fact that I lived in Austin at the time and could have eaten delicious Mexican and Tex-Mex just about anywhere.

3. I became a published writer in third grade. I wrote a short story, which my teacher submitted for entry in a special kids' section of the Chicago Tribune. Does anyone still read the Tribune? It was probably some of the best writing in the paper.

4. One Halloween when I was in high school, I worked at a Six Flags Theme Park as a mummy in the Mausoleum of Terror. The costume smelled like serious B.O. and I don't think I really scared anyone. Glad the job only lasted a weekend.

5. I can get 199 lines in Tetris. I achieved this on an old school pea-soup-screened Gameboy back in 1990. I'm told 200 lines wins the game, but I think that's just for the NES version. On the Gameboy, you get a different "Congratulations" song and dance with each high point total you make; no recognition for number of lines.

6. I sweat when I get cold. Like everyone else, I sweat when I get hot too, but if the temperature of my environment gets even slightly uncomfortable on the cold tip, my pits unleash their bath of fury. Sexy, huh?

7. I can't think of a seventh thing. I'm rather steadfast in finishing what I've started (which is why I've stuck with boring books, ridiculous movies, and idiotic men way too long instead of correctly making an assessment about a half hour into them that things aren't going so well). I've been thinking for some time about a grand final thing to discuss, but I can't think of anything suitably interesting without being unnecessarily incriminating. So there, I'm done.

Tagging no one. Like my family lineage, the buck stops here.
