And I have all my limbs, so I’d say life is going okay if you put things in perspective. I’ve been on hiatus, toolin’ around Austin, selling my car… I really wish Easter would hurry up and pass so all the candy will go on sale.

Normally I don’t want to waste anyone’s time with stream-of-consciousness writing on my blog, but I guess I’ll indulge myself a little bit right now. After a craptastic night that thankfully ended before midnight, I woke up to some maids dickin’ around at my friend’s house. Fine, but now my nice, one-of-a-kind, sort-of-expensive dragonfly necklace from Hawaii is missing. Jesus fucking Christ (yeah, I’ll be patient, he’ll be here tomorrow). Anything else, world? Oh hey, look at this fucking ink from some cheap-ass bag rubbing off on my freshly cleaned white blazer. Awesome!! Pouring rain all day, don’t even want to stay home (well, my home away from home) and watch TV or play cards because I’ll be sitting in the house where everything’s been going wrong.

Lucky for me, Merri Su was available today, so we had lunch and ran some errands. I got to check out the Tea Embassy on 9th and Rio Grande for the first time. That was the perfect place to go on a day like this. On our way, I told Merri Su, “It doesn’t feel like a Saturday. But it doesn’t feel like a Sunday or a weekday or any day. It feels like a nothing-day.” A nothing-day starts, you kinda mull around and do your little things, and when it’s over, it totally blinks out of existence and you don’t think of it ever again. Not because it was bad. Just because it didn’t matter.

Anyway, time for Mexican martinis and more good friends.
