If my poker game ever takes a permanent nosedive, I suppose I can do this for some extra cash.

HAHAHAHAHA! Right.

I wonder if these guys know that if anyone (including hostesses and waitresses) takes money from the house outside of the winnings of the tournament, it’s considered a rake and therefore illegal.

“Hi, we’re a group of social-retards who can’t approach a woman in real life, so we’d like to pay one to come hang around us while we play cards. By “helping us forget our day”, we mean “helping us forget what complete losers we are and how the bigger account managers kicked our asses in the bathroom during lunch”. And “informal lunch” means “group booth at McDonald’s so we can all see as many boobies up close as possible, before committing ourselves to one or two sets”.

And I wonder why it’s so hard to find a man who meets my requirements in this town…

Being a guy I would try to defend them but these clowns are just how April describes them. I think they should quit beating around the bush and say what they really want, hookers.

I have no idea what a “rake” is, but thanks to you, I now know what a poker nerd girl is.

Yes, that’s right. I went there.

Well I can see why I couldn’t find a good reason to just ask some girl to stand around and serve drinks and look hot while I play cards. Either invite them over to join in, or accept that they’re going to say, “That some kind of joke? You think that’s my idea of fun?” So yeah, they want to pay someone to do something that, otherwise, who would?

Not that I think April’s description is off by any means either, cause who needs a hostess? Isn’t it the player getting their ass kicked the hardest’s job to fetch the drinks and just sit/stand around looking stupid? Least that’s the house rules when I play (and it’s fairly often me). So you do that once a week or so, then you use other nights to go talk to girls… ahhh, therein lies the problem for these gents.
