Spastique

After landing on just about every blog in the universe today, I see that this is the latest waste-your-time-while-your-friends-get-to-know-you-better Internet blast and I'm pretty bored. So here you go.

I was in high school. Short of the thought of blowing my own head off and ending it all, not much pleased me.

I was in college. I ditched the shitty job, possessive boyfriend, and lackluster school to move to Austin, Texas. It was five years ago to the week that I decided I would only spend time with people I liked and only do what made me happy. Seems simple enough, but I've found very few people who can follow this philosophy to the letter. The times I have done it, things have always gone right. These were probably the happiest months of my life.

I was working at a shit job with shit people. You know who you are. Around this time, I also adopted a dog named Zoey. I was living in a house with my current boyfriend Gus and going to Vegas every once in awhile.

yesterday
I got an excellent haircut, rollerbladed downtown, and had a nice dinner with friends.

tomorrow
I'm going to run and lift weights at the gym, and probably play cards for the rest of the day.

Well, if you managed to get all the way to the end of this boring-as-hell survey, my hat's off to you. If I wore hats. Which I don't.

Comments:
Do you think Annie Duke has some sort of reverse advantage by being a woman? What I mean is, most men poker players think women can't play. So men would be more willing to stay in pots just because they think she doesn't know what she is doing. Granted by now she has a reputation, but even last year during the Tournament of Champions Hellmuth gave her no respect. By the way, I would have her on my list of people I would like to meet, her and her brother are two of my favorites.

I think Annie Duke is at a great advantage, maybe partially because she's a woman, but also because of her background in psychology. She's also been playing this game for many, many years, and for a woman with several small children, she has nerves of steel. Her performance at the tournament of champions is what made her my hero. When she and Phil Hellmuth were heads-up, he folded a pair of kings into her nines and kings. He had made the right decision, but she only showed him her nine after he mucked his hand. He made the mistake of letting his guard down, assuming she had made a bad play. Of course, she ripped him a new one and sent him crying home to his mommy. I don't feel sorry for him at all. The guy is an egotistical dousche.

I got sumtin like that from my friend..he tagged me to write up..

Yeah, I think Hellmuth is a complete douche. I agree totally that her psychology background helps emmensely. Plus Howard isn't such a bad guy to have as your tutor starting out. She is definately one of my favorites and when she put Phil on tilt and kicked his ass I became an even bigger fan.

mr show and futurama, yea!
strangers with candy? sorry, i couldnt get past that queer ass smile in the first 10 seconds. how come family guy isnt on that list?!
nice blog (and i dont throw that out arbitrarily!)
